Tummy Time

LOL, this shirt is soo true! However, she is becoming a better sleeper! She goes down easily, almost every time. We just have to work on the amount of time she STAYS down! She averages less then 3 hours between feedings.

Raychel likes to move! Last night Daddy had her laying on his chest and she maneuvered herself around and then scooted down his legs. Granted, she had some gravity helping her but she was squirming her way down on her tummy. She seems to have a strong desire to continue working, as you can see through her grunting and frustration sounds. She continued this for over 5 minutes before becoming too frustrated. She wriggled enough to move herself about 45 degrees to the right too. The slick service of the play mat does not help her move like she wants to, on Daddy's legs she had her knees up under her and would push with them!

Her head is getting a lot stronger, as she is able to lift it higher and hold it longer. She also holds her head up when you carry her through a room, if she is in the mood! She will normally do this when I'm getting a bottle ready for her, maybe she is checking to see that I make it correctly!

Thursday night she wanted to sit upright on the floor, so I got out the bumbo seat just to see if she could sit in it. What's a bumbo? It is a REALLY COOL seat that was designed to hold infants upright before they can do it for themselves. She can hold her head up in this chair for a few minutes before she gets tired. She really liked that perspective of the world, if only for a few minutes!
